The three disc Europe ’72 release not only provided some remarkable versions of Dead standards, but also debuted a great deal of new material, including this one. Due to his declining health, the release also marks the end of Pigpen’s contributions to the band. He didn’t go quietly however, as he plays his ass off, leaving his mark all over this record.
