The Merchants of Rock are a collection of pseudo professionals and journalists who feel passionate enough about Rock and Roll to want to write about it on the internet. Our team is a talented bunch, each with their own “real-world” gig by day, and a (not-so) healthy obsession with music by night.
We’re a less is more kind of website, not overly concerned with being the first to report on something – we know that’s a race we are never going to win. We’re all about high quality original content inspired by music we’re passionate about. We don’t measure our success in the number of posts per day, or stats and page views – we’ll leave that to the other guys, Lord knows there’s enough of them.
Operating under the premise that there are only two kinds of music – good and bad, we do our best to report on as much of the former as we can, and not worry so much about the latter. We don’t claim to understand every corner of the depths of the canon of great music, but that won’t stop us from trying.
In the end we are just a bunch of regular dudes who believe in the power of a good tune. We love music, and we want you to love it too.
