Allman Brothers Band Rocks Late Night

Last night the Allman Brothers took the “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” stage to promote their string of upcoming NY shows at the United Palace theatre March 11th – 20th.  They played one of their classic tunes, “Whipping Post” and they really brought it.  With solos by both Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes, there was plenty of the guitar mastery we have come to expect from the Allmans.  It is a very tight performance from the band in a very intimate setting we aren’t used to seeing.  Check out the video below while it lasts, I am sure NBC will pull it off of Youtube in the next few days.

I saw this live. Jimmy Fallon broke his hand right before this slipping on some booze.

Allmans brought it though, Gregg has best ever Rock and Roll voice.

That first solo is from Mr. Derek Trucks, and yes he is a monster, about as good as it gets these days.
