Almost a year ago, former Wilco member Jay Bennett died at the age of 45.  The material he had been working on leading up to his death has been completed and will be released as his final solo album, Kicking at the Perfumed Air.  The album will be released as a free download, in hopes listeners will donate to the recently formed Jay Bennett Foundation to support music and education in Jay’s name.

Between his solo recordings, his session playing, and his amazing work with Wilco, Jay Bennett proved to be an incredibly talented musician who left us far too soon.  We are looking forward to hearing his last recordings,  and wishing the Jay Bennett Foundation great success.
