In advance of the release of two new albums, John Prine stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman to perform “All the Best” with My Morning Jacket front man Jim James.   James (or Yames as he is calling himself these days) recorded a version of this track with MMJ for the upcoming Prine tribute album “Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows”.  The album is due out 6/22 and features a slew of great new artists including Josh Ritter, Conor Oberst, Justin Townes Earle, and the Drive By Truckers playing tunes from Prine’s ample songbook.  We really can’t wait to get our hands on the album, but this liver performance serves as a nice hold over.
