Not too long ago Langhorne Slim & The Law stopped by Norfolk to play at the Jewish Mother downtown, and while they were passing through, were kind enough to stop by MOR and play “Salvation” off their new album The Way We Move.  We had a cool little industrial spot on the train tracks all picked out for our shoot, and then it rained all day and we quickly realized that a plan B was in order.  Luckily the boys are super laid back and agreed to meet at MOR headquarters (aka our house) and rock out an intimate acoustic set instead.  We never had any intention of shooting the video at our home, but everything just seemed to fall into place so perfectly that before we knew it, the Merchants of Rock Porch Sessions were born.

We had a great time with the band both filming “Salvation” and rocking out with them later on that evening as they showed how seamlessly they could transition from chilled out acoustic porch session to raucous high energy live show.  Such down to earth and easy going people are sometimes hard to come by in this business, but these guys are the real deal, plus they make great music, so how could you go wrong?  We can’t wait to see them the next time they roll through town, but for now we’ll settle for taking their new album for a spin.  Enjoy the video below and grab The Way We Move, out now.
