Milwaukee-based indie band, Maritime, has signed with Dangerbird records (home of bands like Silversun Pickups, Hot Hot Heat and Minus the Bear) according to avclub.com and are expected to release a new album later this year. Maritime was started in 2003 by former band members from Promise Ring and The Dismemberment Plan and their last two cds, 2006′s We, the Vehicles and 2007′s Heresy and the Hotel Choir are both pretty solid releases. We eagerly await the band’s next album but in the meantime they are playing a few shows around the great lakes area here or you can check out the video below of 2007′s “Guns of Navarone“.
