Phish are old pros when it comes to playing Stones tunes, and it showed last night on Fallon.  The band turned in their first Late Night TV performance in 6 years as they closed out the musical guest portion of Stones Week  with their rendition of “Loving Cup”.  Just like they did in last year’s Halloween performance, they kept it pretty true to the original version, and then open it up at the end.  Keith Richards even popped in to introduce the band and have a quick chat with Jimmy.

All in all a really cool performance, showcasing the more straight forward rock side of Phish. As always, the band was super tight, turning in a real fun performance of a great song.  I had a couldn’t help but laugh when Trey sang the “I know I play a bad guitar” lyric.  Check out the full video of the song below.
