Roger Waters and David Gilmour Reunite for Charity Gig
While pigs aren’t exactly flying, video has surfaced of the closest thing to a Pink Floyd reunion that we are likely to see. Last month Roger Waters and David Gilmour joined each other onstage for a surprise 4 song set at a benefit concert for the Hoping Foundation in Oxfordshire, England, and a pretty good video from the performance has finally seen the light of day. The former bandmates put their long standing feud aside for at least one night, performing four songs for the crowd of only 200. While the two only planned a three song set(Phil Spector’s “To Know Him is to Love Him”, “Wish You Were Here”, & “Comfortably Numb”), they played an encore as a member of the audience offered a £50,000 donation for a performance of “Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2″.
Whether this is a flash in the pan, or a collaboration that will continue into Waters’ massive tour commemorating the 30 year anniversary of The Wall will remain to be seen. Until then, check out the video of the performance below.
