Roger Waters Announces “The Wall” Tour

After months of rumors, Roger Waters has now confirmed that he will be hitting the road this fall, playing Pink Floyd’s The Wall in it’s entirety.   The tour which will be commemorating the 30th anniversary of the release of The Wall will feature a “spectacular” and “state-of-the-art” production and set that is said to include a 240 foot wide and 35 foot tall wall that will be constructed and torn down during each show.  Call me crazy, but I am thinking there will probably also a light show of some sort in the mix.

The Wall, which was originally released in 1979 is one of the five best selling albums of all time, and is said to be Waters’ personal masterpiece.  The album has been performed live in it’s entirety 31 times before this tour, including Pink Floyd’s 1980-81 tour, and Water’s 1990 performance of the album to commemorate the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Waters will be taking a full band on the road with him, but the details have yet to be announced.  There will be a full announcement on Waters’ new website today at 2:00pm EST with more details and ticketing information.  Below is a list of the confirmed dates:
