Josh Rouse and the Long Vacations are due to released their self titled album on September 27th but surprise surprise they are streaming the album for free on their website. Seems Rouse is getting into the whole island feel of things with a ridiculously laid back sound that makes full use of a maraca. Check the album out here and let us know what you think.

Josh Rouse has been in the studio lately working on a new album tentatively scheduled to be released next fall, but for now he is getting into the Christmas spirit and offering a free download of a song recorded last summer. “Movin’ On” may or may not make it onto the new record but it certainly is a smooth and sweet swinging tune perfect for chilling in front of the hearth during these chilly winter months. Josh Rouse is back and this time en Englais. Rouse posted a video to his facebook page for a new song “I Will Live on Islands,” and I have to say it’s not too shabby. The song has a very Paul Simon cute and bouncy feel to it while the video is kinda Goonies in South America meets a Tommy Bahama commercial starring Josh Rouse? With today being the last day of winter, and tomorrow marking the first day of spring, we wanted to pull together a playlist to mark the occasion.
