By now we’ve all seen and heard of the AV Club’s Undercover series where they have bands cover popular songs ranging from George Michael to R. Kelly. We also know by now that some band’s covers work extremely well and others fall pretty flat. Luckily, when Trampled By Turtles stopped by they played a version of Arcade Fire’s “Rebellion (Lies)” that made you wonder why this wasn’t a bluegrass song to begin with. The band has just released their sixth album, Stars and Satellites, which seems to be just as promising as their ability to cover indie rock songs. Check out their AV Club Undercover video, plus a TV debut performance of their song “Alone” on David Letterman below.
